Officer Duties
The genetics and germplasm working group of ASHS elects officers each year. Officers serve three year terms. The chair is responsible for the business meeting; the chair-elect helps develop symposia, colloquia, and workshops for meetings; the secretary is responsible for the minutes and attendance list.

Previous Officers
The Genetics and Germplasm working group was formed in 1977, when ASHS changed from sections to working groups. Before 1977, none of the sections specialized in genetics and germplasm.
