Hotel Accommodations after August 18

Rooms at the Grove Park Inn are now sold out out for the week of the Cucurbitaceae 2006 conference. Rooms may be available at the Homewood Suites hotel in Asheville. However, Cucurbitaceae 2006 does not have a block of rooms reserved there. Homewood Suites is a 10 minute drive from the Grove Park Inn. A complimentary shuttle service is available. Reservation information is given below:

Hotel Accommodations

The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa is offering participants of Cucurbitaceae 2006 a very special group rate of $129.00+tax single/double (3-4 person $40/night/pp).

Complete the hotel reservation form (PDF format) and submit it as instructed. You may also contact the resort directly by telephone at 800-438-5800 (within the USA) or 828-252-2711 (outside USA). Group code 67V10X.

Deposit/Confirmation

A deposit equal to one night’s sleeping room rate by a major credit card or a check is required to confirm your reservation. You should receive a written or email confirmation within 2 weeks. If you do not receive confirmation please call 800-438-5800 or 828-252-2711 Ext. 1010. Reservations cancelled less than 7 (seven) days prior to arrival date will be charged a fee equal to the first night’s room rate.

Release Date for Group Block is Friday, August 18, 2006
Reservations requests received by The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa after this date are subject to Resort guest availability at prevailing rates. Reservation requests are subject to contracted block availability prior to release date.

Pre and Post Conference Reservations

The group rate may be honored both prior to and after the convention dates on a space available basis by calling the resort directly.

Driving Directions to the Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa

From I-26 or I-40, take I-240 into Asheville
Take exit 5B, Charlotte Street
Proceed north on Charlotte Street for approximately 1.3 miles
Turn right on Macon Avenue and continue for 0.8 mile
The Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa entrance will be to your left

Transportation from the Asheville Airport to the Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa

Airport transfers are available through Accents on Asheville by contacting them directly at 828-251-9013. An advanced reservation is required for all transfers. Transfer forms are located at the back of the brochure. Complete the airport transfer form (PDF format) and submit it as instructed. Note: Taxi service from the Asheville Airport is limited. Prearranged transportation is necessary.
